A Limited Edition set of TranquilityTM tables from:
A Westonbirt Pinus radiata – Monterey Pine
We are delighted to offer a limited edition series of tables made from this ‘ring counted’ 161 year old tree, [number 16.0250] featured in our website article ‘The Story of a Tree’ which will follow the activities from felling to making the final products. Each table will have an exact copy of the arboreal label from the tree, and be marked with its limited edition number from 1-1 up.
The number of tables we can make is limited by the amount of recoverable timber in the tree and the size of the tables ordered.
We will limit the edition to a maximum of 100 tables though this tree is likely to produce somewhat less than that. We will therefore initially only accept orders for 65, and when we know we can make more, that number will be increased until all the tree is used.
We cannot make the tables until the timber is dry, and the time taken for that is difficult to estimate particularly for the legs as they use the thickest timber. Our expectation is that we should be able to start delivery late this year as the Pines tend to be stable and dry well. We will post information here on progress.
It seems to us a fitting end for a splendid tree.
